Looking for a dog-friendly café in Budapest? At Cosy Café Budapest, dogs are welcome both inside and on our 12-seat terrace – no need to leave your best friend outside while you have breakfast. We’re at Szondi u. 11. in downtown Budapest, between Oktogon and Nyugati Railway Station, and we serve breakfast and brunch all day, every day from 8:00 to 15:00.

Fresh water for every dog

When you arrive with your dog, our team will ask whether they can bring some water. If yes, it always comes in a new, clean bowl – we never pass a bowl on to the next dog. So your dog can cool down after a long walk around the city while you enjoy your coffee.

Dog etiquette at Cosy Café

A few simple rules help every guest – on two legs or four – feel comfortable:

• On their own blanket or cushion: dogs can be on your lap, on the floor, or on their own blanket or cushion – even on a chair, as long as their own cushion or blanket is underneath.
• Not on the table: dogs can’t sit or stand on the tables.
• Chairs and sofas only with their own blanket: dogs can use the chairs and sofas our guests sit on only with their own blanket or cushion.
• Not from guests’ plates: dogs can’t eat from the plates or bowls used by our guests.

Why don’t you give dog treats?

Many dogs have allergies or sensitivities, so we don’t hand out treats. If your dog usually gets something, bring their favourite treat with you – that way you know it suits them.

What to eat while your dog relaxes

We serve breakfast and brunch all day: Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, Full English breakfast (also veggie), American pancakes, avocado toast, Hungarian bundáskenyér (eggy bread), Hungarian-style scrambled eggs, a vegan tofu scramble and chia pudding – with 100% Arabica specialty coffee, also with oat or coconut milk. • Opening hours: every day 8:00–15:00.
• Bookings: weekdays by email (info@cosycafe.hu); at weekends, on public holidays and in peak season it’s first come, first served. At busy times, tables are available for 1 hour from when you order.
• Tip: with a larger dog, the terrace or a corner table may be more comfortable – just ask our team where we can seat you.
• Payment: card, contactless (Apple Pay, Google Pay) or cash in Hungarian forints. We don’t accept euros. A 14% service charge is added to the bill.
