About Us – Cosy Café Budapest | All-Day Breakfast in District VI
Cosy Café Budapest restaurant is an all-day breakfast and brunch café at Szondi utca 11 in Budapest’s District VI (Terézváros), between Oktogon and Nyugati Railway Station. We opened on 6 February 2020 and are open every day from 8:00 to 15:00.
Our story
Cosy Café is the shared dream of Erika and Ádám, who met as students at the University of Pannonia’s Nagykanizsa campus. Even then they talked about opening a place of their own, one that offers good food and coffee, and a warm atmosphere too. We opened on Szondi utca just weeks before COVID arrived. It was a hard time for every restaurant, but we kept going, and over the years our regular guests became a real community.

- A friendly, family-style, cheerful atmosphere. No stiffness, no fuss: just relax and enjoy the company you came with.
What you’ll find here
All-day breakfast and brunch: Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale, Full English, Hungarian-style breakfast, American pancakes, avocado dishes, fresh salads, sandwiches and homemade cakes. We serve coffee, homemade lemonade, smoothies and tea. We have vegan and vegetarian options, and you can ask our team about current gluten-free and lactose-free choices. Dogs are welcome, and we have an outdoor terrace.
The team
Alongside Erika and Ádám, Dóri joined the ownership team on 1 January 2026. She began with an internship here years ago, worked her way up, and now helps lead Cosy day to day. Through our “Jövő Menedzserei” (Managers of the Future) programme we also support our younger colleagues on their path to leadership.
